Yesterday we arrived in the acclaimed city of Odessa. It’s not the capital if Ukraine, but from the gorgeous architecture, relaxing flower gardens and metropolitan shopping streets, it could easily be mistaken as such.
The first thing we did was take a city tour. We got the chance to see the famous Potemkin steps and the cathedral square.
During the second part of the day, we visited the Odessa catacombs. Resistors of the Nazi Party lived in these catacombs in the early 1940’s to escape the regime while planning how to attack. They are some of the longest catacombs in the world!
Today is my last full day in Ukraine, but I won’t let that stop me from making the most of my time here, I still have two more excursions. More coming soon!

Until then, check out the Odessa Opera House.
